We work together to support the creation of excellent, ground-breaking, breath-taking outdoor arts to bring thrilling new work to a wide range of audience.”
Without Walls commissioned artists 2018 based in the North West are Alison Duddle and Mark Whitaker, Co-Directors of A Bird in the Hand Theatre based in Yorkshire. Alison has previously worked with CBBC TV and Mark has spent some time far, far away in another galaxy, working as Creatures Operator in the latest Star Wars films. Andy Benfield, Creative Director of Travelling Light Circus, runs a Manchester-based company and has created many wonderful outdoor experiences including a giant illuminated Christmas Tree for Kew Gardens. He is inspired to make work that ‘wow’ the inner child in all of us.
