The family who volunteers together…

Written by:

Wild Rumpus is offering parents or carers the opportunity to come to The Just So festival 2012 for free.

We have a limited number of places available in a team of family volunteers who will work once the festival has finished to help clear up the site. This will involve clearing tables and chairs, assisting the art team by collect signage and decoration, and clearing the site of litter.

However, for the duration of the festival you would have the freedom to enjoy all the events and activities with your family.

Volunteers will be expected to work for 15 hours between 20th and the 21st of August,
(they will also be required to attend a training session at some point through the weekend.)

Some details…

  • Places are limited and are available on a first come first served basis.
  • All shifts will be between the hours 8am and 10pm.
  • You may continue to camp on site until you have satisfied your volunteer commitments. Your family can camp with you.
  • You will not be expected to stay on site outside of the hours of your shifts.
  • Volunteers will pay for their festival tickets in advance as normal. A cheque will be sent out to you within 14 days of the end of your last shift, covering the full cost of the volunteer’s adult ticket.
  • You will have to pay for the other members of your family as normal.
  • More than one parent/carer in a family can volunteer, and receive a refund on their tickets, but all must be available to work for their allocated 15 hours. We will organise rotas so that one of your party is available for childcare.
  • Volunteers must be over 18. No children can volunteer, and no refunds will be issued for child tickets.
  • You are free to apply whether you have already purchased your ticket or not.
